Name: OSCAR
Sex: MALE
Age: 8 MONTHS
Breed: STAFFY X SHAR PEI
Oscar was surrendered to our rescue 2 months ago. He was sold as a
purebred American Staffy from a Melbourne pet store to young teenagers
who weren't able to look after him properly. When he came into care he
was adopted straight away to a lovely family but they have had to
re-surrender him as they live on a property and had problems with their
neighbour.
Oscar is a very attractive, friendly young dog. We think he is an American Staffy x Shar Pei.
He has been well socialised with dogs and kids and has some basic training.
He loves to play with toys. He would require a few walks a week but not everyday.
He is not very good around cats.
He is a very loving, happy dog that would be perfect for a family.
Oscar is FANTASTIC in the car and sits quietly on the seat or on the floor. He loves car rides.
A note from Oscar's foster family:
Just
though I'd give you an update about Oscar. He is without a doubt the
most kind natured dog i have ever known. He is excellent with kids,
loves rides in the car and any length walks. Just like all Staffies, the
more activity they get the happier they are. He enjoys fetch as well
and any chew toys, especially squeak toys and is wonderful with other
dogs. We have been going to puppy school every Tuesday night and he is
progressing well. He can sit and do a few other tricks like paw and lay
on demand and we are teaching him more crazy tricks everyday. He is
learning very well how to walk on a loose lead so he doesn't pull. In
our house he sleeps on the back deck at night and is put outside when we
are not home but when we are here he is allowed in doors and is very
good at staying off beds and couches when he is told. He doesn't bark
when you are around but does whine a little bit when you put him out the
back to leave. I strongly recommend an active family or individual who
spends a few hours of the day at home looking for a pet to consider
Oscar as he is an absolute delight of a dog and a wonderful friend. Also
he is not too keen on cats but is fine around my chickens. |
